Eine e-Mail

Hallo du,
ich bin’s wieder. Tavernikus.

Dieser Blog hier sollte eigentlich schon längst laufen.
Zur Eröffnung zum Beispiel.
Hat nicht geklappt.

Dann habe ich mir den 1. Januar 2026 ausgesucht. Schön ordentlich. Neues Jahr, neuer Anfang.
Ich war fast fertig. Wirklich fast.

Und dann kam eine Mail.

Eine ganz normale Mail.
Also vom Aussehen her.
Inhaltlich war sie… sagen wir: überraschend.

Jemand schrieb mir, wir seien ganz schön teuer.
Und ob wir ihm und seiner Frau bitte bei jedem Besuch 20 % Rabatt geben könnten.
Einfach so.
Ohne weiteren Grund.

Ich habe kurz überlegt, ob ich zurückschreiben soll:
„Möchten Sie das Trinkgeld gleich mit festlegen oder machen wir das spontan?“

Dann habe ich mich gefragt, ob das vielleicht mit der Mehrwertsteuer-Senkung zu tun hat.
Falls ja: Stimmt, die wurde gesenkt.
Und gleichzeitig ist fast alles andere teurer geworden.
Der kleine Vorteil daran: Wir mussten unsere Preise nicht erhöhen.
Billiger einkaufen können wir deshalb trotzdem nicht.

Denn wir holen unsere Sachen nicht irgendwoher.
Sondern dort, wo Menschen noch wissen, was sie tun.
Und ja – Qualität kostet.
Das ist keine Überraschung. Höchstens eine Erinnerung.

Zwischendurch kam mir noch ein anderer Gedanke:
Bekommen eigentlich alle anderen Gäste auch 20 % Rabatt, wenn sie nett fragen?
Oder nur die, die mutig genug sind?

Am Ende habe ich freundlich geantwortet.
So, wie man das eben macht.
Mit Respekt. Und ohne Rabattversprechen.

Und während ich das hier schreibe, merke ich:
Der Blog startet also doch.
Nicht perfekt.
Aber ehrlich.

Ach ja – fast hätte ich es vergessen:
Der Zug ist heute übrigens wieder nicht gekommen.

Aber dafür die Gäste.
Und das ist mir ehrlich gesagt lieber.
